When the 1950’s came around, the Model 649’s were created which were used by tram drivers to protect their eyes from the air and the dust. The demand of these sunglasses made them extremely popular and so off-brands were quickly made in an attempt to copy Persol’s wonderful design. In the early 1990’s Persol created a womanly pair of sunglasses for the Italian actress Ornella Muti. They were the 830 Model sunglasses and they were also a pair of sunglasses that the entire world tried to recreate but ended up being unable to do so. Persol sunglasses successfully created an independent brand that was unable to be copied with such extensive detailing and advanced technology within the sunglasses of their time. With various actors and actresses seen adorning the glasses, the mass population became extremely intrigued with their designs and so the money kept coming in as more and more people decided to buy sunglasses from the brand.
